Evening networking and cultural reception

Southcentral Foundation's Nuka System of Care describes the entire health care system created, managed and owned by Alaska Native people to achieve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and is one of the nation's most innovative health care systems. While our Alaska Native people have earned this recognition, we are constantly raising our expectations for what our health care looks and feels like.

The STRENGTHS of the Nuka System of Care include:

• A system designed and owned by population receiving services;
• Whole system transformation;
• Relationship-based care in action;
• Decrease in professional turnover;
• Increase in end-user health outcomes; and
• Increased organizational flexibility.

Southcentral Foundation's ability to do more with less has caught the attention of organizations around the world. We've been asked to partner with groups from New Zealand, England, China, Sweden, Norway, Australia, Scotland; and the list continues to grow. To better accommodate the increasing number of requests, Southcentral Foundation hosts its annual Nuka Conference in June of each year.
